Addtional Notes

"Based on current estimates, total seafood landings in the TCI is just reaching the 1,000 tonne.year-1 mark. While conch landings have remained relatively steady, there have been increases in lobster and finfish landings to satisfy growing local demand by hotels and restaurants that cater to tourists... ...

The recent congruence between USA import and TCI production figures is promising. The USA statistics are available online from the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service with a delay of only about three months. This should allow accurate monitoring of TCI conch and lobster landings."
